PYT’s 1-Day Couples Retreat- Create More Connection & Possibility in your Relationship

with Preston & Christen Scott

Date: Saturday, September 23rd

Time: 10am- 4pm (1 hour off for lunch)

Fee: $198 per couple for Tribe Members or $249 per couple

Join Christen and Preston for a daylong couples’ retreat at Power Yoga Tribe. The day will include a 2-hour partner yoga class, mindfulness exercises, journaling, and coaching. Become aware of patterns that are no longer working in your relationship and learn new tools to create more connection and possibility. This is for any couple looking to take their relationship to a deeper place. Lunch will be on your own. There are several restaurants in our plaza and nearby.

 

40 Days to Personal Revolution

“A breakthrough program to radically change your body and awaken the sacred with your soul”

This program is a commitment to deepen your yoga practice and start living yoga on and off the mat.  It is combination of daily yoga, meditation, diet insight, and personal reflection, with each week centered on a theme.  Regardless of your level of yoga experience, this program will create lightness in your body, clarity in your mind, and an awakening of your spirit. 

You will:

Practice: Yoga 6 days a week (either studio or home practice)

Meditate: Twice a day

Diet Insight: Weekly dietary themes focused on eating for balance

Personal Reflection: Journal exercises about beliefs, stories, and thoughts that are holding you back from being your most powerful self

Weekly Group Meetings:  It all comes together at our weekly group meetings where we explore the week’s theme further and receive support and guidance from the group and from Dr. Christen Scott.

Fall 2017 Dates: October 11th- November 19th

Time: Wednesday Meetings: 7:15pm-8:30pm

(Meeting Dates: October 11, 18, 25, November 1, 8 & 15th)

Price: $265 (includes 40 Days of Unlimited Yoga at PYT and the 40 Days to Personal  Revolution Book); $150 for members (without 40 Days Class Pass)

 

A Taste of Mindfulness

with Christen Scott, Psy.D., ERYT-500

Date: Sunday, October 15th

Time: 1:00- 3:00pm

Fee: $35 for members; $40 for everyone else

This workshop introduces the basics of mindfulness meditation as taught in the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course.
Mindfulness is about being fully aware of whatever is happening in the present moment. It is a universal practice that anyone can benefit from. Mindfulness can be useful in managing physical and emotional pain, dealing with day-to-day stressors, and even increase optimal performance in athletes.
Christen will lead basic mindfulness practices as well as discuss how to incorporate mindfulness into your everyday life.

Block & Roll

with Christen Scott, Psy.D., ERYT-500

Date: Sunday, October 29th

Time: 3:00- 4:30pm

Fee: $25 members; $30 for everyone else

Learn to relax tight and contracted muscles, release emotional tension, and relieve stress in this 90 minute Self Myofascial Release Workshop.

With a yoga block and tennis ball, we will utilize techniques of compression and decompression on your muscles and you will leave feeling as if you just received a massage. The techniques are also designed to improve your blood and lymphatic circulation as well as digestion.

We will end with a 30-minute yoga nidra practice.

Just bring yourself and a mat. We will provide all the props you need for this workshop but feel free to bring anything to make you comfortable in Yoga Nidra.

Yoga for Golfers- 3 Part Series

with Dr. Al Jalowayski and Dr. Christen Scott

Fee: $90 for the series or $40 per workshop

Saturday, January 27th  1:00- 3:00pm  Focus: Short Game (Chip & Pitch)

Sunday, March 4th  11:00am- 1:00pm  Focus: Driving

There are many aspects of golfing from driving to chipping and putting. This workshop is a 3-part series that will address all of it. You can do the entire series or just the modules that interest you.

Dr. Christen Scott will teach you proper alignment of your posture, how to effectively breathe during different aspects of the game, and yoga postures to increase strength and flexibility in your body. She will also teach you some mindfulness techniques and how you can use this to improve your golf game.

Dr. Al Jalowayski will address three important and unifying concepts that apply to the execution of a good putt in the workshop on Putting; making an excellent chip and pitch during the Short Game presentation; and showing off with yard-gaining shot with the Driver. Practice routines will be demonstrated in each of those areas at the workshops, with emphasis on exercises that can be performed in the comfort of your own home.

What to bring: yoga mat, your golf club for the workshop (putter, wedge, driver), and dress in comfortable clothing that you can move in.

Restorative Partner Yoga with Essential Oils

Date: Saturday, November 11th

Time: 3:00- 5:00pm

Fee: $30 for members; $35 for everyone else

Join Christen & Preston and learn to connect deeper and let go through touch in this Restorative Partner Yoga practice. We will use essential oils to deepen the level of relaxation.
This practice will teach you how to give and receive physical assists, including thai yoga techniques, to release stress and tension from your body. You will gain tools to take with you so you can give and receive this practice whenever you want.
Bring a partner or come alone and we will partner you up.
*You will need a yoga mat; feel free to bring blankets and pillows for your comfort. Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in.

Off the Mat & Into Your LifeA Day with the Yoga Shrink

with Christen Scott, Psy.D., ERYT-500

Date: Saturday, November 18th

Time: 8:00am- 3:00pm

Fee: $ 100 for members; $125 for everyone else

Join the Yoga Shrink for a day of authenticity, community & possibility. The day will include several aspects of yoga, including physical practices, meditation, self-inquiry, and group coaching sessions. Come and experience how yoga truly is a journey of self-discovery. As you release blocks that no longer serve you, you can create your best life. Join like-minded yogis and spend the day stepping into your Greatness.

This is a 6-hour workshop with additional hour allotted for lunch. Yoga teachers earn 6 CEUs for this program. Lunch will be on your own. There are several restaurant options in our plaza as well as nearby.

What to bring: yoga mat and towel, water bottle, journal & pen, change of clothes, snacks 

 

Full Moon Beach Yoga

at Marcinksi Beach (Beach Marker 25)

Date: Sunday, December 3rd

Time: 6:30- 7:30pm

Join Christen, Preston, and the Power Yoga Tribe for a Full Moon Beach Yoga Class.
This will be a Slow Flow Class accessible to anyone.
We will meet at Marcinski Beach (Beach Marker 25) in Jupiter/Juno Beach.
Donations accepted.

Power Yoga Tribe Mentorship Program

Do you want to grow as a yoga teacher and get experience teaching in live classes?

Join us and become part of the PYT Mentorship Program. Through coaching and collaboration, we will help you elevate your teaching skills, build your confidence, and educate you on our philosophies and culture of building and growing a yoga community.   • 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification

Program Details

In-House Mentorship:

  • 2x/week/weekend Apprentice will assist Mentor’s class at PYT
  • Apprentice will teach 10+ minutes of Mentor’s class
  • Apprentice will teach a Community Class with Mentor present
  • Apprentice will practice giving and receiving feedback
  • Apprentice will meet with Mentor after each class the Apprentice assists/teaches for discussion
  • Apprentice and Mentor will meet 2x/week/weekend for further education (30 minute minimum)

Enjoy FREE, UNLIMITED yoga at PYT for the duration of the mentorship!

Online Mentorship:

  • Coaching via phone, Skype, or Facetime
  • 2 Class reviews (DVD) with feedback and coaching (2, 1-hr feedback sessions)
