The Art of Moving Energy

with Ellis Elliott, RYT-200

Date: Saturday, April 1st

Time:  3:00- 5:00pm

Fee: $30 members; $35 for everyone else

Express Yourself with Collage on Canvas

We move energy through our movement and breath in yoga. Off the mat, we express ourselves and move the energy with words, painting, photography, singing, as well as belly laughs and tears.

Each of us has the power to create and express, and it is as individual as we are.

In this workshop we will PLAY with paint, words, stencils, and cut-out images to create a collage on canvas that is personal and meaningful to YOU. It could be a visual reminder of an INTENTION for that moment, or your life, and your collage can center around that. Or you have a photograph you’d like to bring and brainstorm as you play with paint, words, and images and see what comes up. You never know.

We do know CREATIVITY is one route to AUTHENTICITY. The more you create, the more you discover about yourself.

Canvas, Paint, Brushes, Stencils, and Glue Provided. Please bring SCISSORS and OLD MAGAZINES. You might want to wear or bring an old shirt.

This workshop will begin and end with a GUIDED MEDITATION on CREATIVITY.
