This is the work I do. I work with you on creating what it is you want. This transformative counseling approach is very different from traditional psychotherapy because it is not about fixing something that is broken or wrong. The work we will do will focus on getting clear on what you want and do not want in your life and then moving into action to create it. We will uncover blocks and resistance that can hold you back from being happy and living your true potential.

I am a clinical psychologist who no longer practices traditional psychotherapy. I received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from the University of Hartford in September 1999. Since receiving my doctorate, I have worked in a a variety of settings, and with a range of psychological issues. I have worked in in-patient and partial hospitals, residential treatment centers, school systems, outpatient community mental health centers, and in my own private psychotherapy and psychological assessment practice in Rockville, Maryland. I have worked with a variety of psychological disorders as well as with marriage and family therapy.

What has created who I am and the work I do today has a lot to do with my training as a yoga teacher and yoga teacher trainer. After being exposed to Eastern philosophy during my yoga training, I became an avid student of yoga philosophy and meditation, especially how it relates to healing mental distress. After years of study and mentorship, I received my ERYT-500 which classifies me as an Experienced Yoga Teacher at the 500-Hour Level with Yoga Alliance. Bringing my two worlds together just made sense to me and I have created my brand, the Yoga Shrink. The Yoga Shrink incorporates yoga philosophy and mindfulness in a mental health framework. I work one-on-one with people, in couples counseling, and in group settings, including corporate and in-service training.

My philosophy is that you know what you want and how to get there. You already have everything you need. I am here to ask you the powerful questions to help you discover the answers for yourself. When you discover that you have what you need, you will start to trust yourself and feel more confident in listening to yourself. I will also provide you with specific tools to let go of the past and create more peace and possibility in your life. I will give you homework to help you incorporate these exercises and beliefs into your daily life. My goal in working with you is to help you see that you are a powerful creator of your life and offer you the tools to live your dreams.

Individual & Couple Counseling sessions occur over the telephone or Facetime/Skype or in-person at the studio for forty-five to sixty minutes.

Fee: $175 per session or $600 for a 4-session package ($150/session)


A three-month coaching program designed to move you into action in any area of your life. This program will empower you with tools so you can create your life as opposed to letting life happen to you.

This program is about creating an action plan and moving forward, one step at a time, towards living your greatest life. I did it and so can you. I closed my private psychotherapy practice in the Washington, D.C. area, sold everything I owned, and moved to Florida with my then boyfriend. I had a dream to move to Florida, get married, and open a yoga studio. I declared that in February 2011 and all of those things happened by November 2012. I am living the life I have always wanted, and I can give you the tools to do the same.

This coaching program will move you into action in some area of your life. This could be anything, from changing your job or career, to creating a healthier lifestyle, to having a better relationship, to altering belief systems that are creating stress in your life.

How it works:

  • Initial Assessment (1 hour): We will meet 1:1 in person or via Facetime or phone. From this initial assessment, we will create an individualized monthly Action Plan for you. Your plan can include a number of resources including mindfulness, journaling, reading, and much more.
  • Weekly Sessions (30 minutes each): These will be conducted in person or via Facetime or phone. We will assess your Action Plan and any potential resistance or blocks that are interfering with your progress.
  • You will have access to me via e-mail and/or text message between sessions for any questions that arise.
  • Monthly Reassessment: At the end of each month, we will revise your Action Plan, as needed, to continue forward movement.

Investment: $350/ month (on auto-draft schedule- 3-month commitment) or

$999 prior to 1st session (Upfront Discount)

*At end of 3 months, we will reassess. If you decide to continue and roll-over for another 3 months without interruption, you will receive a 20% discount on the program.


These are 50-minute coaching sessions that happen while walking. This is a great opportunity for you to exercise and move energy while addressing personal issues and moving into action.

How it works:
We set up a time and meet at the Power Yoga Tribe. While we are walking, we will be having a coaching session. I have found that I process so much when I walk and talk. It is a great way to coach and move your body at the same time.

Investment: $125 per session or $300 for a package of 3 sessions

Corporate and In-Service Trainings:
